What I ate in 2012

Nothing special, but as I love watching "Food Porn", here's some of mine.
(Yes, I hereby confess my guilt of using Instagram.)

Birthday buffet: Donauwelle cake (chocolate, cream, biscuit, cherries), pasta salad, cheese muffins, sausages in a dressing gown (what a nice name, it's acutally puff pastry).

Autum: Spicy pumpkin-carrot soup with coconut milk.

Pasta with mushrooms, olives and carrots.

Cinnamon pull apart bread.

Breakfast: porridge, mini banans and a piece of cake.

Pasta with red peppers and avocado cream

Pudding streusel with chocolate glazing

My Valentine's day present to myself: Sugar and lots of butter cream! Was so worth it!

Selfmade avocado cream with curry and egg. Mhh!

Nothing more to say?!

Below: Fast food, not worth describing ;) Above: Lamb's lettuce with pear. All time favourite (you have to try it with feta and roasted sunflower seeds, too)!

In a hurry: Pasta, pesto calabrese, feta.
Avocado cream again. Notice the matching plate, hah!

Bamberg

I visited a friend in Bamberg in October and we had a really nice weekend in Bamberg with a lot of beer and sightseeing. The city is quite picturesque and somehow made me think of a german version of Venice. As we were in Bavaria, sorry, Franconia (they are always in a fight), there were lots of churches, but we also found some... well, let's say "spicy" details.

Uhm.. Franconian aesthetics.

Nice, isn't it? ;)

"Schlegel" means something like "stick".

The lovely host.

Posing!

My green heart

Spending summer vacation at home don't has to be that bad, quite the opposite. Visiting castles, caressing deers, playing minigolf or having coffee in the garden while the dog wants to steal your piece of cake can be quite as nice as lying on the beach. Well, almost.

Budapest

I've been to Budapest in April. The word "monumental" must have been invented for this city.

A rabbit's heart

Some time ago, I watched my grandparents butchering a rabbit. It was a strange experience because I really noticed how unconfortable they felt doing it. They used to have their own rabbits and eat them. When I was a child, I also ate them because I didn't realize that they were our own.
